Tammy A Shaw

Tammy A. Shaw, 40, of Bellwood, died Tuesday at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Robert and Rosella (Samuels) Haigh. She married Richard Wayne Shaw, Jr., on April 13, 1991, in Altoona. Surviving is her husband Richard; two sons: Buddy Shaw and Jordan Shaw; one brother Michael Haigh, two sisters: Tina Stahl of Hollidaysburg and Terri Harker of Leamersville, as well as some nieces and nephews; her father Robert Haigh; and her mother in law Renee' Woomer of Tyrone. She was preceded in death by her mother Rosella Haigh and her uncle Roy Samuels of Lake Station, Indiana. Tammy was a store manager for Sheetz, Inc, having worked for the company for 20 years. She was a member of Tipton Baptist Church, where she had been active in the choir various Bible study groups. She was a graduate of Altoona High School, and enjoyed traveling, flowers-gardening, and especially spending time with her children. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday, January 30, 2009, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held at Tipton Baptist Church on Saturday, January 31, at 11 AM, with Pastor John Pine and Pastor Timothy Young, officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
