Marjorie E.(Mookie) Probst August 10, 1932 -- February 8, 2009 Marjorie E.(Mookie) Probst, 76, a guest at Valley View Home, formerly of 2906 9th Street, Altoona, died Sunday morning at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus following an extended illness. She was born in Altoona a daughter of the late Walter Palmer Dunn and Edna (Smith) Dunn. She married D. Terry Probst July 23, 1957, in Winchester, VA. He died May 27, 2004. Surviving are three sons: Terry L. Probst and wife Debbie in Ohio, Randy S. Probst and wife Mary Beth of Altoona, Rodney D. Probst in Florida, and two daughters, Karen S. Kitt of Altoona, Sharen S. Brummert and husband Thomas in New York,11 grandchildren, Brian T. Keen, Carissa M. Probst, Casey L. Probst, Christine A. Probst, Brittany N. Kitt, Brooke A. Kitt, A. J. Kitt, Donovan J. Kitt, Brandon M. Brummert, Shaun T. Brummert, Jadyn Brummert, one great granddaughter, Avery LeMaster and one sister Betty Dodson. She was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and had worked at the former Butterick Co. in Altoona. Mookie enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, walking and watching Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., Juniata. Funeral services will be held at 10am Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Carol Gathagan, officiating. Interment at Alto Reste Park.
