Violet E Suckling

Violet E. Sucking, 91, of Valley View Home, formerly of Blair Tower, died Tuesday morning at the home. She was born in Roaring Spring, a daughter of the late James H. and Lillian R. (Kephart) Gray. Surviving are a daughter, Corky Rouzer, of Juniata Gap; 3 grandchildren, Robert Rouzer, Vicki Cotter, and Michelle Rouzer; 7 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Gladys Long and Alice Berkheimer. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Gray and Denver Gray; and three sisters, Florence Reffner, Maude Strong, and Bessie Snook. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. She enjoyed crocheting, making quilts, and making ceramics. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2009, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., Juniata, where Funeral and Committal Services will be held at 8 p.m. with Msgr. Robert Mazur officiating.
