LeCrone, Gail Arlene Gail Arlene LeCrone, 70, of LeCrone Road, Altoona, died after an automobile accident Saturday, April 4, 2009, in Berkley Springs, W.VA. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Howard P. "Pat" and Arlene (Carn) Yeager. She married Fred T. LeCrone, Sr., in November, 1960, at Grace United Methodist Church, Altoona, PA. LeCrone, Fred T. Sr. Surviving are two daughters: Suzanne LeCrone of Altoona, PA, Sharon LeCrone Payne of Bedford, PA, and also in Jacksonville, Fl.; five grandchildren: Anastasia LeCrone of Altoona, Keirstyn, Bailey, Alie, and Cody Payne all of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers: Darryl Yeager of Bellwood, and Barry Yeager of Hughesville, MD.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tragically, both her husband Fred, Sr., and her son Fred LeCrone, Jr., died in the accident as well. After retiring from LeCrone Transfer and Storage, Gail went on to work as a medical technologist with Lakemont Medical Center for many years. She was a member at Grace United Methodist Church, where she was very active in ministry there, being active in countless areasshe loved her church. She was a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, a member and past president of the Altoona Quota Club, was a volunteer at Contact Altoona, a former board member of the United Methodist Children's Home in Mechanicsburg, PA, and was currently an active board member of the Miracle League. Gail enjoyed crafting, sewing, camping and boating, and loved spending time with her familyespecially her grandchildren. She was a "GREAT" grandmother to her entire family. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. Memorial services for the LeCrone family will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Grace United Methodist Church, Altoona, with Pastor Sharon A.
