Paul Z. Burkholder

Paul Z. Burkholder, 83, of Golden Living Center at Hillview, died Monday morning at the Center. He was born in Altoona a son of the late Ralph and Edna (Piper) Burkholder. He married Doris Alexander. Surviving are his wife of over 50 years, two sons, Keith Burkholder of Boulder, Colorado, Brian Burkholder of Altoona, one daughter, Dena Chaplin and husband Joseph of Altoona, one granddaughter, Maura Weaver and husband Christopher of Altoona, three great grandchildren, Kylee Weaver, Anthony Weaver and Melissa Weaver, all of Altoona, one sister, Mary Long of Altoona, and one nephew. Mr. Burkholder was a member of Juniata United Methodist Church (formerly Gethsemane United Methodist Church). During his working years he worked in sales at Helsel Hardware. He was a graduate of Altoona High School. Friends will be received from 4-6pm Wednesday and 10-11am Thursday at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday with Pastor Kenneth Beichler, officiating. Interment at Alto Reste Park
