Roy S Mock

Roy S. Mock, III, 65, of Altoona, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. He was born on October 7, 1943, in Altoona, a son of the late Roy S. Mock, Jr. and Virginia (Helsel) Mock. He married Nancy Hoover on July 29, 1967, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Juniata. Roy is survived by his wife Nancy, one son, Roy Mock, IV, (Sue), of Altoona, one brother, Rodney (Judy), of East Freedom, two sisters, Marilyn Mueller of Altoona, Cindy Murphy (Jim), of Mexico Beach, Florida, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jenna Marie Mock. Mr. Mock was a self-employed accountant. He was a 1961 graduate of Altoona High School, a 1974 graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce with an Associates Degree in Accounting and attended the Penn State Seniors Program. He was a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society. Roy served in the Army National Guard and enjoyed karaoke and sports. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8PM Monday, June 1, 2009, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday, with Pastor Elizabeth Hess, officiating. Interment at Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
