Eugene Sharp, 70, of Altoona, died early June 12, 2009, at his home. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Clarence and Mary (Maize) Sharp. He married Nancy L. Dively on July 14, 1982, who survives him. Surviving are his 5 children: Eugene A. Horton, John H. Horton, Mary Jean and Andrew T. Sharp, all of Altoona, Debbie Offit of Louisville, KY. He has three grandchildren: Deidra Saltsman, and Christian and Nicole Horton all of Altoona; and two sisters: Geraldine Webbert of Baltimore, Maryland, and Betty Brown of Altoona, as well as plenty of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by numerous siblings. Eugene enjoyed classic movies, playing cards, horseshoes, softball, working puzzles, working on car enginesable to completely rebuild them, carpentry--having been for many years, and loved the outdoors, especially lawncare.
