Martha Pearl McCracken

Martha Pearl McCracken December 13, 1918 -- June 12, 2009 Martha Pearl McCracken, 90, a resident of the Altoona Center for Nursing Care, formerly of Green Avenue Towers and Juniata, died Friday at the Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. She was born in Juniata, a daughter of the late Roy Reed and Martha (Fisher) Reed. She married Donald Edward McCracken, June 27, 1939, in Juniata. He died January 2, 1967. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Patty Fasick, of Altoona, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her only son, Donald E. McCracken, in 1972. Martha was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of Juniata United Methodist Church, Juniata, and was a 1937 graduate of Altoona High School. Friends will be received from 1-4pm Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., Juniata, where funeral services will be held at 4pm Sunday, with Rev. Keith J. Schmuck, officiating. Interment will be made at Enola Cemetery, Enola, PA.
