Judith A Layton

Judith A. Layton, 70, of Valley View Home, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at the home. She was born on July 16, 1938, in Altoona, daughter of the late Albert E. and Judith J. (Hyle) Endress. She married Ronald E. Layton on June 23, 1961, in Winchester, Va. He preceded her in death in 1991. Surviving is one daughter Cindy Wagner and husband Mike of Altoona; two grandsons: Robert Layton and his wife Gina, and William Wagner; three great grandchildren: Kaleb Fuchs, Aleah Layton, and Alec Layton; two sisters: Donna Schneider and Carole Forney, both of Altoona; two brothers: Albert Endress and Charles Endress, all of Altoona; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister: Nancy Lattieri. Judith retired as a machine operator from Tritex Sportswear after many years of service. She loved her familyespecially spending time with her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. (www.maukandyates.com), where a funeral service will be held Monday, July 6, at 10 AM, with Rev. Ralph Hamer, officiating. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
