William Robert Ross, 54, of Bristol, Pa, died Friday evening at his home. He was born in Philadelphia, a son of William Richard "Dick" Ross and the late Doris Franks Ross. Surviving are his parents William "Dick" and Janet L. Ross of New Port Ritchey, Florida, one sister, Debbie Ross of Bensalem, PA, three brothers, Michael and his wife Robin of Altoona, Richard and wife Lynn of Greencastle, PA, and James Edward Ross of Philadelphia, one step-sister, Suzanne Jacobs of New Port Ritchey, Florida, three aunts, Maxine Ross, Donna Lysinger and Vicky Franks, all of Altoona, one uncle Ronald Yeager and wife Sally of Grove City and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr Ross worked as a maintenance technician for U-Haul International. Prior to that, he worked as a mechanic for Blue & White Lines of Altoona. He was a graduate of Delhaas High School and Bucks County Technical School in Bristol. He served with the Army in Germany. His hobbies included watching sports and fishing. Friends will be received from 10am until noon Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
