Kevin Marcus Pierce Sr. was born June 8, 1955 in Claysburg Pennsylvania. He was the son of Emma Lou Pierce-Mack and Burl Brown. Kevin attended Northwestern High School in Flint, Michigan, where he graduated in 1973. He married Michele Marie Ballos-Pierce in July of 2009, in which they joined 11 children. Preceding Kevin in death is his grandfather, Willis Pierce, grandmother, Mable F. Pierce, sister, Celia J. Pierce, and daughter, Regine Sade Pierce. Kevin was a multi-talented person, who worked a variety of jobs. He has many years of service working for Lucy Shall's Catering, LLD Construction, Neon Signs, Frank West Construction, The Shoe Factory, and Tyrone Skid Shop. Kevin accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mother Gethsemane Church of God in Christ located at 511 11th street, where a memorial in the remembrance of Kevin Pierce will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at one o'clock p.m. He leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life, 8 children: Lorraine of Michigan, Ashley (Pierce) Sorrell of East Freedom, Adam Moore of South Carolina, and Brandi Petrauskus, Alycia Pierce, Kristen Pierce, Casey Pierce, and Kevin Pierce Jr. all of Altoona; 3 step children: Kenneth Ballos II and Crystal Ballos both of Altoona and Brennon Shall of Cresson; 2 brothers: Butchie Pierce and Samuel Pierce Sr. both of Altoona, 1 aunt: Mary Trice of Mount Union, 2 uncles: Luther Pierce and Clarence Brown both of Altoona; 14 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by Kevin's wife, Michele Pierce to assist with the arrangements of Kevins homegoing celebration.
