Shirley A Clemens

Shirley Arlene Clemens, 81, of Bellemeade Manor, formerly of 22nd Avenue, Altoona, and Homers Gap, died Tuesday morning following a brief illness. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Reginald D. and Laura Belle (Swartz) Clemens. Shirley was a member of the Altoona Christian and Missionary Alliance Church where she had been a Sunday School teacher for 45 years and had worked as the church custodian. She worked for the Philadelphia Drug Store for many years and later worked at Valley View Home in the Snack Bar. Shirley was a 1945 graduate of Altoona High School. Surviving are several cousins. At Shirley's request, there will be no Viewing or Funeral Service. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., Juniata.
