Marjorie V. Keith, 92, of Patriot Manor, Somerset, formerly of Altoona and Coalport, died Tuesday evening at the home. She was born in Patton, a daughter of the late William J. and Edith G. (Black) Yahner. She married Joseph C. Keith Oct. 11, 1941, in Patton. He preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1973. Surviving are four daughters: Betty J. (Barry) Kleinle of Boiling Springs, Mary L. (Edwin) Simoncek of Carlisle, Claire (Sam) White of Erwin, Tenn., and Gay (Don) Clark of Somerset; 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elisabeth E. McCloskey of Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Joanne Beers and Ivy Strang; a grandson, Michael; a son-in-law, Dr. Kenneth Beers; five brothers; and one sister. Marjorie was a graduate of Patton High School. She attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Somerset. Marjorie was a homemaker. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, and 9 until the 10 a.m. funeral service, Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata (www.maukandyates.com), with the Rev. Edward Beers officiating. Committal and interment will be at Lyleville Cemetery, Beccaria Township, Clearfield County. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Marjorie's honor be made to the Lyleville Cemetery Association at 1233 Lyleville Road, Coalport, PA 16627.
