Nancy S Stine

Nancy S. Stine, 64, Altoona, died Wednesday at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Elizabeth (Ellis) Gauntner and the late Lester Gauntner. She married John E. Stine June 18, 1966, in Altoona. Surviving are her mother; her husband of 43 years; two sons: John E. II (Janice) of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Todd A. of Altoona; three grandsons: Christopher P., Matthew J. and Patrick S. Stine, all of Augusta, Ga.; four siblings: Fred, Mary, LuAnn and Mark; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy was a graduate of Altoona High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses North Congregation of Pleasant Valley, where she was active in service, including phone evangelism. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata (www.maukandyates.com), where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2009. Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
