Ernest H. Lauver Sr.

Ernest H. Lauver, Sr., 71, of Altoona, died Saturday at the Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late William and Hazel Lauver. He married Judith Miller who died March 21, 2003. Surviving are five children: Ernest, Jr., Carol Deeters, Becky Hainley, Bobbie Rowles, all of Altoona and Danell Deyarmin of Pittsburgh, 7 step children, 30 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 7 brothers and sisters, Denny, Tom, Bill, Pam, Ronnie, Patty and Gloria. He was preceded in death by two sons, Terry and Scott. He enjoyed watching football and Nascar but especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10am Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., Juniata., with Pastor Paul Johnson, officiating. Interment at Logan Valley Cemetery.
