Mary A Thomas

Mary A. Thomas, 66, of Altoona, went to be with the angels, Tuesday after a long five year battle with cancer. She was born in Nanty Glo, a daughter of the late Antoney and Christina (Laughard) Fornari. She married Clarence Thomas who died in September 1996. Surviving are one daughter, Angela Thomas with whom she resided, one son James, two grandchildren, Austin Lees and Jimmy Thomas, two great grandchildren, Emma and Landon, two brothers, Joe Fornari and wife Ruth of Altoona, George in PA, niece and best friend, Jackie Fornari and husband Tony of Altoona and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from noon to 4pm Saturday, January 2, 2010, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service will be held at 4pm Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Kathy Colebank, officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
