Chester J Eger Sr.

Chester J. "Dootie" Eger Sr., 76, Altoona, formerly of Cresson, went to heaven to be with his wife, Barbara, Thursday. He was born in Cambria County, son of the late Seyrellius A. and Ethel (Crane) Eger. Surviving are four children: Chester J. Eger Jr. and wife, Linda, of Altoona, Stephen A. Eger of Altoona, Nancy M. Eger of Altoona and Penny A. Yon and husband, Don, of Manns Choice; and a sister, Harriett (Eger) Dunmyer and husband, Raymond. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A.; and two daughters: Diane E. Eger and Kathy Brancato Miller. Chester enjoyed his work in the television repair business and also enjoyed tinkering with automobiles. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
