Robert C. Naugle

Robert C. Naugle, 83, of Green Avenue Towers, died Tuesday at the Altoona Regional Health System, Atloona Hospital Campus. He was born in Altoona the son of the late Charles Scott Naugle and Naomi (Wright) Naugle. He married Charledda Baker who preceded him in death on March 13, 1979. Surviving are three daughters, Robin L. Naugle Cochran and husband Ernest of Pinecroft, Tammy J. Emery and husband Matthew of Altoona, Emily Talley in Ohio, eight grandchildren, Katherine Miller and husband Joseph, Ernest Cochran, Jr., Katie Emery, Eric Emery, Maggie Emery, Jason Talley, Patrick Daily and Jonathan Naugle and two great grandchildren Lydia and Riley, two brothers, Ray Naugle and Jack Naugle, both of Altoona, two sisters, Annajean Houser of Tyrone and Helen Porter of Baltimore, Md., and daughter in law Jeannie Naugle. He was preceded in death by a son Robert Scott Naugle in November 2009 and two sisters. He was an Army veteran of World War II and received the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. Following World War II he also served in the Air Force Reserves until 1950. He retired from Butterick, Inc. in 1986 where he was an incinerator operator. His hobbies included hunting at his camp in Pottersdale were he loved riding his 4-wheeler with his friends to their "bunless camp". Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Sunday, February 7, 2010 and 10-11am Monday at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., (www.maukandyates.com) where funeral services will be held at 11am Monday. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
