Alberta S. Mowery

Alberta S. "Polly" Mowery, 103, of the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona, died Sunday morning at the home. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Good) Doyle. She married Walter S. Mowery Sept. 30, 1925, in Cumberland, Md. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1987. Polly is survived by four grandchildren: Sherry Hosmer of Lancaster, Robert Mowery Jr. in Oklahoma, Suzanne Carter of Altoona and David in Texas; many great-grandchildren; and many, many great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred in North Tonawanda, N.Y.; a daughter-in-law, Kaye; former daughter-in-law, Marjorie Mowery; and a sister-in-law, Melody Fleck. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert W. Mowery; a daughter, Betty Haagen; a brother, Thomas; and a sister, Kathryn Scheeler.
