May L. Bush, 82, of Altoona, formerly of Hermitage, PA, died Monday morning at Valley View Home, Altoona. She was born In Antis Township, Blair County, the daughter of the late Earl G. and Ethel F. (Spearing) Farber. She married William K. Bush April 7, 1950, in Cumberland, MD. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Bill, four daughters, Catherine L. Rose and Karen A. Anderko, both of Altoona, Grace E. Yeager, of Lone Tree, CO, and Mary Lou Dunkerley, of Chelsea, AL; a son, William C. Bush, of Hermitage; one brother, Carl Farber, of Altoona; three sisters, Betty Stauffer and Ethel Hamel, both of Altoona, and Grace Lombardi, of Washington, NC; 11 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly Shoemaker and Edna Barwis, and a brother, Gilbert Farber. Mrs. Bush was a member of Juniata United Methodist Church and a 1945 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, gardening, and crafts. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 North Fourth Avenue, Juniata, Altoona. Funeral and Committal Services for Mae L. Bush will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
