Helen L Conley

Helen L. Conley, 92, of Altoona died Sunday at home. She was born in Marion Center, daughter of Lawrence E. and Angeline M. (Allison) Gardner. She married Raymond H. Conley in Brookeville, Pa., on May 23, 1934. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1980. She is survived by her children: Doris S. Montgomery of Canton, Ohio, Robert H. Conley of Massillon, Ohio, Richard L. Conley of Levelland, Texas, Phyllis J. Hoffman of Altoona, Sandra K. Beck, with whom she resided, of Altoona and Ronald E. Conley of Altoona; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Gardner. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, loved to be around young people and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was so full of life. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, by Pastor Walter Smith. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
