Shirley A Riley

Shirley A. Riley, 89, of Altoona, died Friday morning at home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles E. and Sedena (Smith) Moore. She married William H. Riley, Sr. February 28, 1942, in Altoona. He preceded her in death November 15, 1987. Surviving are three children: a daughter Patricia Margaret Brumbaugh, a son William H. Riley, Jr., and a daughter Linda Ann Means, all of Altoona; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a niece Jean Roccio. She was preceded in death by a son Patrick Michael Riley, a daughter, Baby Riley, a grandson Matthew Means, and a great-granddaughter Angela Brumbaugh. Shirley was a homemaker. She was a 1939 graduate of Altoona High School, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc, where there will be a vigil for the deceased. A funeral mass will be held Monday, June 14, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Msgr Stanley Carson, officiating. Committal at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
