Franklin G Wilt

Franklin G. Wilt, 47, of Altoona, died Saturday afternoon at Valley View Home. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late David A. and Helen E. (Harshberger) Wilt. Surviving are two sons, Brian Boyer of Canton, OH, Franklin G. Wilt, Jr., of Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA; three sisters, Vergie (Franklin) Shannon, Jeanette Brown, and Elaine (James) Fayson all of Altoona; one sister Audrey Wilt of Bellwood, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother David A. Wilt, Jr. Following graduation from Altoona High School, he served in the United States Army. His hobbies included building and flying model airplanes. Friends will be received from 12 PM to 2 PM at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where funeral services will be held at 2 PM with Rev. Carl Wolfe, officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be mad to his son Franklin, Jr.
