Judith L. Jasper March 13, 1955 - July 2, 2010 July 8, 2010 Save | Judith L. Jasper, 55, Altoona, died Friday morning at UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late William and Velma (Bickley) Rankin. She married Webb Jasper at Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church, Altoona, and he died Aug. 5, 2005. Surviving are her sister, Rita Henchey and husband, Dick, of Hurricane, W.Va.; two nephews: Rick and Russell Henchey, both of Hurricane; an aunt, Nancy Mollette in Ohio; and several cousins in Ohio; and her stepmother, Grace Rankin of Glouster, Ohio. Judith was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and Altoona Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from Valley View Home as an LPN after 32 years of service. She was a member of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church, being active in its ministry, and currently was attending Jaggard Memorial United Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata (www .maukandyates.com), followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
