Doris L. (Morder) Storrs, 78, of Altoona, died Wednesday morning, July 21, 2010, at her home after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Antis Township, daughter of the late Charles A. and Blanche Marie (Nelson) Morder. She married Walter E. Storrs who preceded her in death in 2008. Surviving are 7 children: a daughter Debbie Weaver of Altoona with whom she resided, a daughter Marie H. Warrender and husband Bob of Conn., a daughter Betty Anne Cote and husband Paul of Fla., a son Charles R. Nearhoof, III and wife Mary of Altoona, a daughter Patty Kay Minor and husband Jim of Rhode Island, a son Ira J. Booterbaugh and wife Nancy of Ariz., and a son Francis A. Booterbaugh, Jr., of Altoona; many grand, great grand, and great-great grandchildren; one brother John E. Morder and wife Pat of Bellwood, two aunts, one uncle, one niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Terry Wayne Nearhoof; a daughter Shirley Louise Wheeler, and one grandson Bryce A. Clouser. Doris was a homemaker. She loved her flowers, reading, cooking, and her cat "Puss Kitty". At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Monday, July 26, 2010, at Logan Valley Cemetery, with Rev. Kathy Colebank, officiating.
