Lois E. (Kochenderfer) Miles

Lois E. (Kochenderfer) Miles, 84, of Trenton, Florida, formerly of Altoona, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday at the Haven Hospice in Gainesville, Florida. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late John Kenneth and Ethel (Sesaman) Kochenderfer. She was twice married, first on August 25, 1945, she married Richard D. Mauk , then to Harry Miles, who preceded her in death. Surviving are three children, Larry R. Mauk (Connie) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Robert A. Mauk (Sherry) of Hollidaysburg, Pa, Cheryl L. Bennett (Rell) of Trenton, Florida, five grandchildren, Jason P. Mauk (Jamie), Altoona, PA, Dawn R. Benz, (Darrell), Larry R. Mauk, Jr, (Elizabeth), of St. Petersburg, Florida, Richard Touchton, and Dale Touchton, in Florida, six great grandchildren, Jackson R. Mauk, Jacob W. Mauk, of Altoona, Madyson Mauk, Anthony Mauk, Brandan Benz and Brittany Benz, all of St. Petersburg, Florida and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Robert Kochenderfer and grandson, Robert A. Mauk, Jr. She retired as a travel agent/escort from the Worldwide Travel Department of the St. Petersburg Motor Club (AAA), St. Petersburg, Florida, after twenty-four years service. She was a graduate of Altoona High School, Class of 1944. Her hobbies included traveling, playing cards and cooking and reading. Friends will be received from 10 to 11am Saturday, August 28, 2010, at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., (www.maukandyates.com), where funeral services will be held at 11am with Rev. Ronald Anderson, officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona, PA.
