Kenneth M Foster

Kenneth M. "Ken" Foster Jr., 80, Altoona, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday morning at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. He was born in Altoona, son of Kenneth M. Sr. and Margaret (Smouse) Foster. He married Dolores Lytle on Sept. 1, 1950, at Calvary Baptist Church, Altoona. Surviving are his wife Dolores of 60 years; three sons: Terry and wife, Beth, of Sinking Valley, Joel of State College and Brian and wife, Renee, of Hummelstown; five grandchildren: Melissa, Allen, Nathan, Bryce and Brennen; three great-grandchildren: Sean, Meaghan and Haylee; and a sister, Donna Jean of Juniata Gap. Ken worked as a pressman for the Altoona Mirror Commercial Department and then was co-owner and past president of Alto Printing, retiring after many years. He attended Bible Baptist Church, Warriors Mark. Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and reading. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata (www.maukandyates.com), where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, Pastors Steven Burns and Alan Kilian officiating. Interment will be at Graysville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bible Baptist Church, Warriors Mark.
