Dale O. Lansberry

Ober Dale Lansberry, 70, Altoona, died Thursday at Valley View Home. He was born in Altoona, son of the late William and Alice (Reese) Lansberry. He married Dorothy F. Temple on Nov. 12, 1960, in Winchester, Va. Surviving are his wife of 50 years; a daughter, Stephanie (Lansberry) Menezes of Mountain View, Calif.; a sister, Janice (Lansberry) Hite of Glenwood, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ober was a 1957 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1965 graduate of the University of Colorado. He was a mechanical engineer with BAE Land & Armaments, San Jose, Calif., retiring in 2008 after more than 49 years of service. He attended Altoona First Church of the Brethren. Ober enjoyed gardening, bicycling and washing his cars. Friends will be received from 1 until the 4 p.m. funeral service, Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., (www.maukandyates.com) Juniata, the Rev. William Pepper officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
