Margaret E. Detwiler

Margaret E. "Marg" Detwiler, 96, The Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of Westwood Park, Juniata Gap, died Friday at The Village. She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of James and Hattie (Miller) Robeson. She married Charles R. Detwiler Aug. 5, 1933, and he died May 6, 1980. Surviving are three children: Jeanne of Altoona, James R. of San Antonio, Texas, and R. Vaughn; two grandchildren: Mark of Houston, Texas, and Michelle in Wisconsin; a stepgranddaughter, Sara Hill of San Antonio; and a nephew, Wayne Stapleton of Bellwood. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Helen Shelly and Ruth Stapleton. Marg was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling, reading and talking. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata (www.maukandyates.com). Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Williamsburg.
