Georgeanna C. Bonsell

Georgeanna C. Bonsell, 80, Altoona, died Friday morning at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. She was born in Bellwood, daughter of George and Bertha (Laird) Boone. She married Billie L. Bonsell on June 26, 1954, in Cumberland, Md. Surviving are her husband; five children: Roberta Key, and husband, Anthony, of York and Billy, Tammy Mountain, Sam and wife, Tammy, and Craig, all of Altoona; two stepsons: Terry L. in West Virginia and Wayne M. of Tyrone; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Bonsell; and all of her siblings. Georgeanna was a graduate of Bellwood High School. She retired from Veeder-Root Co. as an assembler after 30 years of service and was the union shop steward for three departments. She was a member of Altoona Restoration Church of God. Georgeanna enjoyed fishing, playing the organ and decorating cakes. Friends will be received from 9 a.m. to the noon funeral service Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata (www.maukandyates.com), Pastor Kim Swindell officiating. Interment at Logan Valley Cemetery.
