Madeline H. Zillinger

Madeline H. Zillinger, 85, of Altoona, died Sunday at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Eugene and Grace (McManigal) Wright. She married John W. Zillinger on October 16, 1954, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. He died July 5, 1998. Mrs. Zillinger is survived by a son, Scott M., of Altoona; two sisters, Norma Belin, spouse of John, of Altoona, Janet Wright, of Philadelphia; a brother, Clifford Wright, of Florida; and a special friend, Cathy Henico. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont. She retired as a school crossing guard from the Altoona Area School District. At Mrs. Zillinger's request, there will be no viewing. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 15, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic by Rev. Msgr. Michael Becker. Private Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of followers, contributions in Mrs. Zillinger's memory would be appreciated to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society.
