John E. Minielli III, 50, Baltimore, died Monday evening at his residence. He was born in Altoona, son of John E. Minielli Jr. and Jeanne (Fowler) Bryant. Surviving are his parents; his stepfather, John Bryant, of Altoona; five children: Crystal Hite-Ellis of Baltimore, Stephanie of Lock Haven, Brad of Roaring Spring and Shawna and Joshua, both of Baltimore; two grandchildren: Garrett Hawkins and Eva Hite; a brother, Gary Michael Hoover of Altoona; two sisters: Laurie Imler in Florida and Trina Funcheon of Altoona; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John was a graduate of Altoona Area High School. He was employed as a mechanic with the Maryland Department of Transportation and previously had worked for Ward Trucking for 25 years. He enjoyed mountain biking, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Juniata United Methodist Church by the Rev. Keith Schmuck.
