Linda L. Eckenrod Dec. 2, 1945 - Nov. 30, 2010 December 1, 2010 Linda L. Eckenrod, 64, Altoona, died Tuesday afternoon in Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James and Geraldine (Irvin) Henry. Surviving are two children: Dianna L. Carney and husband, Timothy, of Altoona and Paul F. Eckenrod Jr. and wife, Andrea, of Bellwood; five grandchildren: Lindsay and Ryan Carney and Abigail, Bryce and Dylan Eckenrod; four brothers: James Kling, Timothy Kling, William Kling and Joseph Kling; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Pauline Kling. Linda retired as a nurse's aide from the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home after many years of service. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata (www.maukandyates.com), followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m., the Rev. Edward J. Preston officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
