Margaret C Shura

Margaret C. Shura, 89, of Altoona, died Friday at Bellmeade Manor. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Ludwig and Caroline Leipold and was twice married: first to Joseph Lechner who died January 20, 1977, the in 1981, she married Stanley A. Shura who died February 16, 2005. Surviving is a sister Rosella Greiner of Altoona as well as many nieces and nephews, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren, along with 7 step-sons, William Wieland and wife Jeanne, Desmond Shura, Walter Shura and wife Carol, Stanley Shura and wife Anna Marie, Cynthia Smith and husband Michael, Donald Shura and wife Cecelia and Joseph Shura and fiance', Connie Thompson. She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. Margaret was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Juniata. During her working years she worked for Saf-T-Back for a number of years. Her hobbies included traveling with her husband and spending time with nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Bavarian Aid Society. Friends will be received from 6-9pm Monday, December 20, 2010, and from 9-10 AM Tuesday, December 21, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., Juniata, (www.maukandyates.com). A funeral Mass will be held at 10am Tuesday, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael Servinsky. Committal at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
