Evelyn L Wright

Evelyn L. Wright, 88, of the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, died Wednesday afternoon at the home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Calmer and Grace Haffley Cunningham. She married Floyd F. Wright on August 30, 1948, in Winchester VA. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1993. Surviving are her 3 children: her son Daryl D. Wright and his wife Nellie of Hollidaysburg, her daughters Vickie L. Sparks of Altoona and Tamara S. Carter and husband Brian of Altoona; three grandchildren: Jeff Kelley, Scott Carter, and Ben Carter; great grandchildren Matthew Kelley, Derrick Kelley, and R.J. Kelley; and one sister Helen Day of St. Augustine, FL. Evelyn was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Altoona High School and the Altoona School of Commerce. She was a member of Juniata United Methodist Church. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 3-4 PM Monday, December 27, 2010, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. A memorial service will be held at 4 PM at the funeral home. Interment at Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
