Jerry R. Dietzel

Jerry R. Dietzel, 54, Altoona, died Thursday at home. He was born in Altoona, son of Edward W. and Shirley M. (Hartman) Dietzel. He is survived by his mother; four brothers: Edward J., Terry J. and Gary J., all of Altoona, and Larry B. of Bellwood; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward W. Dietzel. He was employed by Captain Hooks and previously had worked at Proctor Silex and General Cable. He was a graduate of Altoona Area High School. He enjoyed fishing and was a Steelers fan. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc. (www.maukandyates.com). A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
