Lewis S. Williams, 86, Fallentimber, died Thursday evening at Bon Secours Hospital. He was born in Duncansville, son of the late James and Alberta (Colyer) Williams. He married Viola Coble, who preceded him in death on May 29, 1976. Surviving are 7 kids: Lewis, Jr, Edward D., Kathryn Yerty, Grace, all of Altoona, Dennis, Viola Lauver, and Linda Williams, all of Coalport; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, one sister Laurel Rodriguez, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by one sister and two brothers. Lewis retired from Belaire Car Wash after many years of service as a washer and mechanic. He served in the United States Air Force during WW II. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports-especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, loved talking on his "CB" radio, and was known by his handle "Hotwax". He especially enjoyed his family. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday, April 18, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. (www.maukandyates.com), where a funeral service will be held at 8 PM. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
