Folk, Robert Elsworth "Bob" 12-1-1923-----6-18-2011 Robert E. "Bob" Folk, 87, of Valley View Home, died early Saturday morning at ARHS-Altoona Hospital Campus. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Benjamin H. and Margaret L. (Rouzer) Folk. He married Mary V. Kinser on January 22, 1944, in Blair County. She preceded him in death on January 2, 2004. Surviving are five daughters: Carol Sontag (Andrew) in TN, Vickie Kuhn (Paul) of TX, Janet Smith (Dennis), Nancy Elders, and Debra Foreman-all of Altoona; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one sister Margaret Lee (Randy) of CA. He was preceded in death by a brother John Folk. Robert was an Altoona High School graduate, and served in the U.S. Army. He retired as a produce selector for A & P Stores after many years of service. He was a member of Teamsters Union, AFL-CIO, was a member of the Jaffa Shrine and Road Runners, and was a member of Logan Lodge # 490 F & AM. Bob enjoyed working with wood. He attended Mardorf United Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday, June 20, 2011, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where a Masonic service will be held at 7 PM. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at the funeral home, with Rev. Edward J. Preston, officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
