Kenneth P. Fluke, 88, died peacefully Friday evening at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Porter and Lea Mae (Hanley) Fluke. He married Audrey M. Kemberling on June 26, 1943, at Trinity Reformed Church by Pastor Howard F. Boyer. Surviving are his daughter, Sandra K. Kelley and husband, Don, grandson, Brian P. Kelley and wife, Tracy L., and great-grandson, Daniel B. Kelley, all of Altoona. He was preceded in death by his sister, Madeline Jean Fluke. Mr. Fluke was a 1940 graduate of Altoona High School and was a committee member for the graduating class of 1940 and had served on the alumni committee for many years. He served in the U.S. Army. Ken retired as a mail clerk at the Altoona post office in 1981 after many years service. He was a member of Mountain Lodge 281, F&AM, Altoona Consistory and the Jaffa Shrine, where he was a member of the Drum & Bugle Corps for many years and also volunteered at the Altoona Food Bank. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2011, at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home Inc. (www.maukandyates.com), where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
