Sarah G Yon

Sarah G. (Lehrsch) Yon, 86, of Altoona died Sunday morning at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John Clement and Grace H. (Tilson) Lehrsch. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn A. Bartley and husband Frederick Jr.; a son, Richard N. Yon and wife Brenda I.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Allen Lehrsch in Idaho. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clement G. Lehrsch; a sister-in-law, Grace B. (Rider) Lehrsch; and two grandchildren: Glenn Allen Samuelson and Michelle Samuelson. Sarah enjoyed crocheting and reading. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc. (www.maukandyates.com).
