Frank B. Campbell, 53, Altoona, died early Wednesday morning at Tyrone Hospital. He was born in Boston, Mass., son of the late Francis and Lois (Tomlinson) Campbell. Surviving are a daughter, Alicia M. of Julian; four siblings; a niece; and a nephew. Frank was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed as a forklift operator at General Cable. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed collecting eagle statues, building model airplanes and woodworking with a burning tool. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata (www.maukandyates.com). Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his daughter to help defray hospital expenses.
