Marjorie A. Watters, 86, Altoona, died early Friday morning at her home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Wilbert and Florence (Shannon) Wolfe. She married Milton Watters on June 26, 1948, in Altoona. He preceded her in death in 1997. Surviving are her daughter, Sherry Watters of Altoona; one brother, Bill Wolfe and wife, Trudy of Altoona; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Audrey McCaulley and Barbara Wolfe. Mrs. Watters graduated from Altoona High School and was an active member of Mardorf United Methodist Church, where she served on numerous committees over the years. She was a homemaker. Marjorie enjoyed playing pinochle, reading, watching Penn State football and spending time with her family. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc. and also from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Mardorf United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Edward J. Preston officiating. Interment will be in Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
