Lois J. Robertson, 79, Philipsburg, passed away Monday evening in Philipsburg. She was born in Wabasha, Minn., daughter of the late Arthur and Viola (Livens) Hitt. She married William O. Robertson, who preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 1998. Surviving are five children: Christine Zeppenfeld and husband, Dan, of Trenton, N.J., Steve Beschler and wife, Karen, of Altoona, Tim Beschler and wife, Brenda, of Ebensburg, Susan Zimmerman and husband, David, of Philipsburg, with whom she resided, and Mark Beschler of Altoona; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters: Helen Hitt of Batavia, Ill., and Louise Eichelberger of Wilmer, Mich.; three stepsons: Lee Robertson, Wayne Robertson and Doyle Robertson; and a stepdaughter, Janice Kelb. She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Sally Harvison; and a brother, Arthur Hitt Jr. Lois retired from Warnaco as a presser after 20 years of service. She attended Clearfield Bible Missionary Church and enjoyed the group at the Healthy Steps in Motions exercise program. She loved serving the Lord and was deeply committed to His work. She also enjoyed gardening, her beagle, Mike, and especially spending time with her family. Lois will be remembered as a loving grandmother and will be sadly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata (www.maukandyates.com), followed by a funeral service at 8 p.m., Pastor David Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
