Anna C. Marks, 89, Valley View Home, died Thursday morning at the home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Dorothy Rager. She married William P. Marks on Jan. 24, 1942, in Cumberland, Md., and he died Oct. 3, 1983. Surviving are a son, William P. "Butch" Jr. and wife, Ginny, of Duncansville; three stepgrandchildren: Darren McConnell and wife, Tammi, and Brian McConnell and wife, Theresa, all of Altoona, and Christopher McConnell and wife, Veronica, in Ohio; three stepgreat-grandchildren: Isaac, Caitlyn and Ryan McConnell; a sister, Carley Webber in Florida; a close friend, Lori Clapper, whom Anna loved very much; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Anna was a graduate of Altoona High School and a homemaker. She enjoyed camping, reading and flea marketing with her husband. Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata (www.maukandyates.com). Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
