Nora M Grove

Nora M. Grove, 89, Duncansville, died Tuesday at Altoona Regional Health System, Seventh Avenue Campus. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Ira and Emma (Trueman) Hewitt. She married Paul C. Grove Sr. on Sept. 1, 1937, and he died June 1, 1989. Surviving are three children: Gloria Staines and husband, Arthur, and Donna Davis, both of Hollidaysburg, and Paul C. Jr. in South Carolina; a granddaughter, Lisa Riggleman, with whom she resided; 12 additional grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Arnold Hewitt and wife, Eleanor; a brother-in-law, Wilbur Amigh; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Nora was a homemaker and attended Juniata Valley Gospel Church. She enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, reading, traveling and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata (www.maukandyates.com), Pastor Dave McCaulley officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Juniata Valley Gospel Church Building Fund, 1301 Juniata Valley Road, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
