Joanne H Gibboney

Joanne H. Gibboney, 89, Altoona, died Tuesday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Adam C. and Kathryn E. (Love) Gibboney. Surviving are a brother, Thomas F. Gibboney; her twin sister, Lorraine L. Wyland; three nieces; a nephew; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Olive Hoover and Mary Billings; and two brothers: George and John. Joanne retired from the Altoona Hospital Environment of Care Department after 27 years of service. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata (www.maukandyates.com), followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m., the Rev. Edward J. Preston officiating. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
