Connie Mae Plowman, 41, Altoona, was taken from this world unexpectedly Sunday evening at Altoona Regional. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of Margaret E. (McCulloch) Jennings and the late Jack E. Jennings. She married Todd David Plowman on April 26, 2003, in South Beach, Miami, Fla. Surviving are her husband; her mother of Tyrone; a sister, Stef Carper and husband, Randy, of Tyrone; a niece, Paige, and soon-to-be nephew, Jack; and an aunt, Janet VanAllman of Tyrone. Connie was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School and Penn State University. She was employed as a registered dietitian, licensed dietitian/nutritionist and clinical dietitian at Altoona Regional Health System, as well as the Fresenius Medical Care Dialysis Center and Tyrone Hospital. She attended First Church of Christ. Connie was a loving wife, wonderful friend and ray of sunshine who touched every person she met. She loved animals, and her dogs, Zoey "MayMay," Buffy, Geno and Abby brought great joy to her life. She had a passion for running. She loved spending time with her niece, Paige, and was an avid Ohio State fan. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012, at First Church of Christ, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2012. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society.
