Michelle L Detwiler

Michelle L. "Shelley" Detwiler, 42, of Altoona died Friday morning at Altoona Regional. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Janet (Sharp) Copenhaver and the late Thomas Copenhaver. She married Bryan R. Detwiler on March 5, 1994, at First Church of Christ. Surviving are her husband; three children: Joshua Black and Rachel and Lindsey Detwiler, all of Altoona; her mother of Altoona; two brothers: Perry and Alan Copenhaver, both of Altoona; a sister-in-law, Lori Irvin and husband, Larry, of Bellwood; as well as nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Shelley was a graduate of Altoona Area High School. She was employed in the cafeteria at Altoona Area School District. She was a member of First Church of Christ, and she enjoyed scrapbooking, photography, the outdoors and especially her family. Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery. www.maukandyates.com
