Jessie B. Turnbaugh, 98, formerly of Station Square and the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, died Thursday evening at the home. She was born April 12, 1914, in Logan Twp, Altoona, a daughter of the late James Moore Dunn and Mary Maude (Cornelius) Dunn and on April 29, 1939 in West View, Pittsburgh, she married William F. Turnbaugh. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1969. Surviving are two daughters, Mona DeRose (Ron) of York, PA, Sandy Riley (Jerry) of Altoona, five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one sister, Arlene Hileman of Altoona. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Donna Turnbaugh and Judy Reinbacher, one grandchild, four brothers, William, James, Richard and Delbert Dunn, and two sisters, Harriet Ott and Amanda Otto. Jessie was a member of the Juniata United Methodist Church and a former member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, reading and watching Pittsburgh Steeler and Penn State Football. At the request of the deceased there will be no public viewing. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Lou Hileman, officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
