Brian S. Stacey passed away Saturday and will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Sherry A. (Lockard) Stacey, with whom he shared 24 years of life together; a son, Mitchel S. Stacey and his fiance, Hannah L. Campbell; and a daughter, Lindsey Rena Stacey and her partner, James M. Smith Jr., who are expecting his granddaughter, Lillianna Rena, in two months. Also surviving are his parents, Richard E. and Linda F. (Ball) Stacey; a sister, Lisa R. Stroup and husband, Jeremy; a brother, Michael E. Stacey; 13 nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joseph R. Stacey, Florence I. (Snavely) Stacey, Frances V. Ball, Helen M. (Riley) Ball; and an uncle, Scott Arbogast. Brian graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1990. He was employed at Mortimer Electric Inc., and was also self-employed at B&M Electrical Service. Brian was a family man who enjoyed hunting with his cousin, Brandon L. Stacey, father, Richard, and son, Mitchel. He also enjoyed competition shooting with his father and brother-in-law, Rodney A. Walters; and fishing with his best friend, Jason Krater, his father, Richard, and son, Mitchel. He also enjoyed restoring antique cars, gardening and cooking with his wife. Brian was always up for trying new recipes and canning foods from the garden. He enjoyed life and would always say, "Why be mad; you only live life once." Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at the First Church of Christ, Juniata Gap Road, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., with Pastor John Collins officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family, 2800 Homers Gap Road, Altoona, PA 16601.
